This recipe is a great savoury option for breakfast and a great shake up to your overnight oats. You won’t be disappointed!


  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 x spring onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tbl Nutritional Yeast
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt / pepper to taste


Mince garlic, finely slice spring onions, chop mushrooms. In a medium sized saucepan add in oats, almond milk, garlic and paprika then bring to boil, reduce heat to medium and add in mushrooms, nutritional yeast, spinach leaves then rip up the basil leaves finally sprinkle with salt and pepper. If the mixture is getting a little dry you can add in a little more almond milk, once you get a nice porridge consistency you are ready to enjoy.
