I created this delicious natural slice to satisfy a craving for Banana Bread, it is so quick and easy to make and is just what you need to treat yourself if your mouth is watering for something sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsps baking powder
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 egg whites
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method:

Grease a rectangular baking dish and line with baking paper. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.

Place oats and sunflower seeds in food processor, blend until they are ground. Put in a big bowl, add baking powder and chia seeds.

In a separate bowl place bananas chopped and mashed, the add egg whites (if you wanted to add a tablespoon of your favourite sweetener her you can – pure maple syrup would be a good choice). Mix together then fold into the oat mixture.

Pour into prepared dish, use a fork to even the top out then press into top of mixture some blueberries and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place into the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
