BeachFit is the perfect gift for someone you love this Christmas, imagine helping them make 2018 their best year ever!
I wrote this book for busy women to simplify health and fitness in way that provides real and practical advice on how to lose weight, keep it off and live a fit and healthy lifestyle!
But dont just take my word for it, here are a couple of short extracts from the books to get you started….
My #1 Philosophy – “Above all else, I believe in fuelling your body with what I call ‘real food’, regardless of whether you want to lose weight, change your body shape or just feel fitter and stronger. Eighty per cent of the way to achieve these goals is mostly going to come down to what you eat. The fitness industry has sold us the idea, for way too long, that the answer to perfect health or an amazing body can be found on a cross-trainer, a treadmill or in a group exercise class. The reality is that, while training is important, it is what you put in your mouth every day that is going to make the critical difference to how you look and – more importantly – how you feel. I constantly get asked about the training side of my programs but it isn’t until people start to see results that they see that the hard work is done in the kitchen – not in your new active wear!”
On Mindset – “A lifestyle change – or just wanting to become healthier – should not come with a beginning and an end date. Most people have a fantastic reason for wanting to make positive changes in their lives. These include wanting to live longer, to minimise the chance of disease and to be able to spend more quality time with their family and children. These are reasons that require a long-term change in mindset and thinking. No one says, ‘I want to spend more quality time with my children for the next 12 weeks,’ so why is it okay that they would only commit to training hard and eating well for a short period of time?”
On Nutrition – “Proper nutrition is the key to maintaining the weight and body shape you want in the long term. I also believe that eating well can be a huge contributing factor leading to a long and healthy life. As I mentioned earlier, I don’t believe in unsustainable fad diets or any diet that excludes particular food groups. I am also a strong supporter of the fact that you don’t need to count calories to get the results that you want, as this process can make you lose focus from your major goal; however, I will speak more to that point later on”
On Training – “By now you’ll have realised the importance of nutrition when it comes to your health and fitness. I also want you to know that training and exercise is a critical part of the mix, but is often an area that can be confusing and misunderstood. My objective in this section is to lay out all the different training options and help you to understand which ones to incorporate into your own personal regime to ensure you achieve your goals. I really believe that it is called ‘training’ for a reason, as you are working towards something bigger. Training should have a purpose and you should definitely set goals around what you are trying to achieve. If you don’t do this, training can easily become boring and the excuses will start to kick in”
