“I spent most of my life yo-yo dieting because others would tell me I wasn’t the right weight or was unattractive because I wasn’t petite enough. Just before I turned 40 I had a massive wake up call, and realised I didn’t recognise the body in the mirror. I had been deluding myself and excusing my bad food choices. I managed to get myself to a healthy weight range at the time, but more recently stress levels impacted (moved house, states, jobs, schools, etc.) and I began to struggle with maintaining my weight at an optimal level.

I have two young boys aged 9 and 7 who are very active. As a family we participate in various sporting clubs including soccer and Nippers, and both my husband and I are active members supporting our sons in their sporting achievements. I am generally a pretty active person (when I’m not working) and until recently attended group fitness classes, the Saturday park run and netball. Despite my level of activity and fitness, I was getting really moody, and seemed tired all the time. I was also beginning to develop food allergies which was a new thing for me….

I’ve really enjoyed the journey over the last 8 weeks or so. I had originally joined the beachfit community earlier this year, hoping to shake things up a little in my exercise routine to initiate further weight loss and muscle tone. I felt like in recent months a few kgs had returned and I was beginning to feel uncomfortable with the extra 10kgs. I was constantly tired looking for a sugar hit, and was uninspired by my food options. Then along came #noexcuses.

The support group is extremely supportive and I love the fact that there is always someone available to answer your question no matter how trivial or silly it may be. I’ve spoken to so many friends about the program, and I can’t seem to stop talking about it. It is so comprehensive, supportive, and realistic. And it works! No quick fix, just pure hard work…..actually it really is easy once you get into the swing of things. I love experimenting with the different recipes that were part of the program and that other members suggest, and love the idea of combining food types for best results.

The results speak for themselves.

Thank you so much for developing a program for normal everyday women allowing lifestyle changes that can become permanent fixtures. I love the way my body feels now and hope i can continue to shed the last bit to ensure a more sculpted physique. I now believe i am being the best role model to my children and have improved the lifestyle and health of our whole family.

Thank you once again. I am so grateful to have been part of such a supportive community and can honestly say i enjoy eating my food now. It’s so clean, unprocessed and most of my food allergies have disappeared. Wonders never cease.
