12 months later


INBA Comp last weekend

12 months ago Donna was, in her own words, ‘tired, miserable, overweight and unhappy’….Fast forward to last weekend and Donna was rocking the stage in her first ever INBA competition.

This is the kind of story I absolutely love….my 8 week programs are designed to teach you principles to create the body you want for the LONG TERM and this is exactly the approach Donna took to changing her life.

I am extremely proud that she started with my #noexcuses program but even more proud that she continued on with her journey and achieved what must have seemed ‘impossible’ just 12 months ago.

In total Donna has lost and maintained a weight loss of 14 kilos in the past 12 months (she started at 75kg) and as you can see looks truly AMAZING. This is what she had to say in her email to me about the year that changed her life:

“My journey began in August 2014. I was overweight, tired, miserable & unhappy and just happened to stumble across Kim Beach’s #noexcuses 8 week program…….I have not looked back since. This program was the catalyst which got me from being overweight & unhappy in Aug 2014, to competing in the Fitness Model Division of the INBA State Championships in September 2015.

Donna’s initial #NOEXCUSES results – down 8KG

I lost 8kgs by the end of Kim’s 8 week #noexcuses program. I didn’t exercise every day as I wanted to get my head around making healthier food choices, which Kim’s program made very easy. I would have only done a 3rd of the exercises over the 56 days, and having still lost the 8kg proves that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. I am a big believer in that……..NUTRITION, NUTRITION, NUTRITION!

Believe me, the last 13 months haven’t been easy. I went on another 12 week program after I completed Kim’s program to build some muscle, then fell off the wagon, put on some weight, became grumpy and tired and the vicious cycle started again. I knew I couldn’t go back to where I started so used many of Kim’s tips and recipes to get my head back in the game.


16 week since starting #noexcuses

I then decided to step way out of my comfort zone and compete in the INBA State Champs. 13 weeks is all I had to prepare and although I knew I wasn’t lean enough to win or place in the Fitness Division, it was my goal, my dream.

Being a mother of 2 boys and 2 step-daughters, working fulltime and nearly 39yrs old, I’m damn proud of what I achieved and what I took to that stage. I didn’t win, I didn’t place, but I didn’t give up either. I had a dream and I chased that dream and even though I didn’t bring home a trophy, I’m still a winner!

You are more than a winner Donna, you are an shining example of someone who has the determination, willpower and commitment to truly create positive change in their life. You are an inspiration to us all!
