Janet’s Incredible 24kg Journey!

“Thank you Kim for asking me to share my weight loss journey with you.

After going through a bit of a difficult time towards the end of 2016, I decided it was time to work on myself, to take my mind off what was going on in my life at the time.  I was overweight so I decided to get back into exercising and started off slowly by attending a few early morning outdoor exercise classes run by a PT.  After a few weeks I could no longer make it to these classes so I decided to join a gym.  I joined a gym in mid-October 2016 and completely threw myself into training – doing a combination of weights and cardio classes (boxing and body combat).  Over the coming months I discovered the Kim Beach #noexcuses program which popped up on my Facebook newsfeed.  I started researching the program and modified my eating slightly, from information I found on the website.  I then made the decision that Kim Beach #noexcuses was the weight loss program I was going to start, as it’s a sensible program with an eating plan of clean, unprocessed food and training, and not some crazy fad diet which would be difficult to maintain.

In January 2017 I started Round 1 of #noexcuses.  Up until then I had lost 9kg through my own weight loss efforts.  In my first round of the #noexcuses week program I lost a total of 8.8kg.  I then went on to complete my second round and lost 6kg.  I’m now onto my third round of #noexcuses and am planning on starting #noexcuseslife after I complete this round.  I’ve had a total weight loss of 24kg, lost 50.5cms from my bust, waist and hips and gone from a size 16/large to a size 12/small!

I have really enjoyed this program – I love being able to look at the program each day and know exactly what I’m eating – there’s no thought required.  Completing this program has been a big learning curve for me as I’ve learnt how to eat properly to fuel my body and now know what to eat and when to eat it to keep my blood sugar levels stable to fire up my metabolism.  The support I’ve received from the Beachfit team and all of the wonderful women in the #noexcuses Facebook group has been amazing!!!  It’s a fantastic group of women who encourage and support each other through the highs and lows of weight loss.

I have had so many benefits to my weight loss journey including feeling stronger, being the fittest I have ever been, feeling more confident, feeling like a completely different person now that I’m not dragging around an extra 24kg and having so much more energy every day!!!!  I have also decided to try some new experiences to challenge myself and trying outrigger rowing and climbing up a mountain nearby are planned.  Recently I was flattered to be invited to do a Question & Answer session at a Kim Beach talk and invited to attend a Kim Beach VIP Luncheon in Sydney.  I really can’t believe how much my life has improved since making that decision to improve my health.

For anyone out there who is contemplating starting a Kim Beach program, I would highly recommend it.  You will be supported every step of the way, and I’m sure you will find it life changing!!!
