“I found the Kim Beach 8 week #noexcuses program when I was searching for something to supercharge my weight loss and boost my fitness but I never expected to be in the best shape of my life!
After having three kids and leading a very busy family life I realised that my weight had slowly crept up to the point where I no longer liked my body. In 2015 I decided that enough was enough and I was going to have a really good go at loosing weight and getting fit.
I started going to a group personal trainer 3 days a week after doing the busy school run in the mornings; I really enjoyed going and started to slowly watch the numbers on the scales go down.
After a while my weight plateaued and I found that no matter what I did I just wasn’t losing the weight like I had hoped I would. I tried a few different diets that had mixed results but most were just not sustainable. In the past I had always been a calorie counter but got to the point that if I had to count another calorie I was going to scream.
I then started boxing 4 to 5 times a week and noticed that the weight was again starting to come off. Even though I was seeing some good results, I knew in the back of my mind I would not be able to sustain it or keep it off because I still hadn’t sorted out my diet. My personal trainer was giving me tips and suggestions but I needed a plan, I needed something that would not only work but something I could also learn from.
I had done a bit of research online and kept hearing good things about the Kim Beach Program, so after a few months of looking at the Kim Beach website I thought, why not? I signed up in Mid- March and haven’t looked back.
I printed out all 100 pages of the program and eagerly put them into a folder, I wanted to follow the program down to every little detail. On the first day I prepared one of the meals and was totally blown away by not only how simple the recipe was but also delicious. I even ended up making the same meals for my husband because he thought they looked so good!
The program totally changed my nutrition and how I viewed food in general. I learnt the importance of fuelling my body with the right food and found that I was again loosing weight even though I was now eating 5 meals a day. Finally I had found a program that not only worked, but also completely sustainable due to the delicious recipes and ease of preparation.
I now have heaps of energy and have not only reached my goal but absolutely smashed it! The program isn’t just a diet, it’s a lifestyle change and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t thank Kim, her wonderful team and all the ladies in the Facebook group enough for their constant support, food ideas and encouragement.
