If you are anything like me you spend a large amount of your day in gym gear, so it’s important to find brands that look good but that also feel great and wear well over time. This is why I was thrilled to be asked by the team at Female For Life to road test their range of clothing as I have heard fantastic feedback about the quality and fit of their gear from friends and colleagues in the industry.
Firstly before I even tried anything on I loved that all of their products are Australian designed, there is something cool about wearing clothes that are designed specifically for Australian women as you know they are going to suit our climate, fit properly and be practical.
I was NOT disappointed. When I tried on their tights for the first time, they were soft and comfortable, felt amazing on and best of all they actually stayed up during my workout (I wasn’t pulling them up all the time while doing my weights session).
I have literally drawers full of workout gear, lots of which I have bought because they looked amazing in the shop, only to find that they either weren’t comfortable or didn’t last after a few washes. I’ve learnt now that it pays to find a great brand that feels amazing on, even if you have to ”pay more” at the checkout as you actually wear them! The Female For Life range definitely is definitely worth the price tag, the fabrics they are dry wicking, don’t fade or lose their shape and an added bonus they don’t dry out your skin.
Being able to find workout gear that is comfortable and that you feel great in is huge, it completely takes away that whole feeling of ‘what am I going to where today’, so you can focus on staying committed to your training and getting the results you are after. Not on pulling your pants up.
Sizing is normally a nightmare as I can be anything from an extra small in some brands to a medium in some others so I was impressed by the unique body sizing calculator on the Female For Life website– as you can see in this pic…
…You start by selecting your body shape:
….then your pants size:
followed by your shirt size:
So what do I think overall?…… I think that the range is some of the most comfortable clothing I have ever worn to the gym and is practical enough for me to wear in my daily life as well. I love that it is designed in Australia and that the company has a fantastic set of values (check them out here) and gives back to the community.
